…This is what happened (check out the screenshot left). When I went to their login page I entered my username and password. When I clicked login I was presented with the following screen. Instead of directing me to the worldwidebrands dashboard I was greeted with an error that says “ make sure you select the “Always trust.” Checkbox and select “Run”

My natural instinct to investigate myself I searched around on the worldwidebrands site to see what support material that they have to support my problem.

I discovered that they have a very tiny link that says “ login help” you can see it on the screenshot below the “find products now” yellow button on the left hand margin. I clicked on it and I am presented with the following screenshot. I made sure that I have the lastest java version installed on my pc. I checked by following the instructions on the screen shot photo to your right.

I have a technical background and I am very handy with PC’s so I started emliminating things. I disabled my firewall and windows security. But I still couldn’t start using worldwidebrands. So I flicked an email to the support team for worldwidebrands. Here is the email that I sent to worldwidebrands customer support team on September 4^th :

How long did worldwidebrands take to get back to me?

A worldwidebrands customer service specialist got back to me within 24hrs so I was very impressed with their contact. What did they send me? As you can see in the screenshot above it was a stock email that details how to eliminate other software on the PC. I had already disabled my firewall and windows firewall (not to mention I don’t even use windows firewall I find it unsatisfactory I actually use zonealarm) Please note that I have ommited the customer service representative details on the email screen shot.

Since I had already tried the following I had to reply to worlwidebrands again to sort the login issue out. You can see the response from the worldwidebrands customer service representative below. The customer service specialist has told me to call her between the hours of 9am to 5.30pm EST during Monday to Friday. She states that I should have 30mins up my sleeve. She said she can help me by accessing my computer and finding out what is causing the issue. Since I am based in Australia I will have ring early in the morning to get a hold of the customer service specialist.

Here is the conversation with world wide brands ……

I called them up and entered the extension number that the rep had left me. The phone kept ringing for about 30 secs then went to voice mail. The voice message was for another representative not the one that had contacted me by email. I didn’t end up leaving a message as I would prefer to speak to worldwidebrands when it is convenient for me. So I will call them back later.

During the day I tired up and busy doing things so I ended up leaving it until Wednesday. I phoned them again on Wednesday 8:42am local Australia time. I was again presented with another representatives voicemail message. I decided not to leave a message so I will try contacting them again shortly.  I called them again at 9:50am but this time I contacted their direct support telephone number and pressed “1″ to go through to their support team. The phone kept ringing and eventually went to voicemail to state that all of their support representatives are either busy or I have called them outside of customer support hours.

Selecting to use worldwidebrands and their onesource drop ship directory? By selling drop shipping product even living 6000 Miles away? ….

I signed up with WorldWide Brands back in August 2004.

I registered a domain name called neatgizmos.com back in August 2004 for just $20. I then used my reseller hosting account (email me if you want to know what a reseller account is) to host the domain name. I then setup 3 email addresses. The usual sales@ Richard@ blah blah blah. It willbecome clear how this relates to worldwide brands below.

You might be wondering what this ” neat gizmos ” website is all about …well it sells toys for grown up lads. Dont worry it is NOT adult toys, rather gimicky toys.

It only took me around half an hour to browse through world wide brands List of drop shipping suppliers to select a drop shipper that I thought had Some unique products which could sell well on ebay. The gimicky toy company offered dozens of products to sell and they were based in England, the UK. The great thing about their products they are very unique and consequently there is very little competition.

Due to the exchange rate of the UK pound to US green back I knew their products would not sell in the US. Since they would have to be priced very high.

Now here is a secret marketing spin that I used…Instead, I decided to test them by selling on Ebay ONLY to the UK. The advantage.. I would benefit by the 3 x 1 exchange rate with my local currency of the New Zealand dollar.

Note - world wide brands have a lot of product suppliers listed that drop ship Products and are suitable for selling on ebay. Chris Malta who is the founder Of World Wide Brands has a strong link with selling on ebay. So what exactly were the products? - they were fancy dress items. Two really good sellers were the inflatable sumo and ballerina suits. They look really daggy too! Check out the photo of them below:

I was making around 15 pounds per item. So that was around NZ$45 dollars profit. Not bad eh for something I did not have to stock. Now you might be thinking that you have to live in another country with a poor currency conversion to get the benefit of using worldwide brands drop shipping database. This simply is not true. My first project that I explained above using a drop shipping supplier just goes to prove that you do not have to spend alot of dollars or to even handle any product to setup a viable business venture.

You can even be on the other side of the world in another time zone and still provide outstanding products and service to your customers. But the key to my success for being successful with drop shipping is to have the backing of reliable and credible drop shipping suppliers. Thank fully worldwide brands hold true to their name.
